The Garden at Elm Bank Wedding with Chinoiserie-Inspired Décor
Suzie and Hunter chose a chinoiserie-inspired design for their wedding at The Garden at Elm Bank. Their outdoor ceremony took place in the heart of the garden in front of the beautiful stone fountain, followed by a tented reception. It was a gorgeous spring day with lots of sunshine!
The Elegant Aura team provided day-of planning services and managed every detail from start to finish so the couple and their families could enjoy celebrating. We’re honored Suzie and Hunter entrusted us with the execution of all their careful planning!
Chinoiserie-Inspired Wedding Details
Suzie and Hunter’s wedding featured a blue and white color scheme with pink accents inspired by chinoiserie. All their stationery and signage carried the chinoiserie motif and included the Chinese symbol for happiness as a nod to Suzie’s heritage. For a special touch, Hunter’s mom designed and painted all the signage!
The tablescapes at the couple’s reception also reflected the chinoiserie theme. Every detail coordinated perfectly, from the ornately patterned bud vases filled with pink and white flowers to the dusty blue vintage goblets. On the escort card table, a tall chinoiserie vase brimming with fresh hydrangeas, roses, and peonies, with accents of blue thistle, welcomed guests into the reception.
Tented Wedding Reception at The Garden at Elm Bank
The couple’s tented reception at The Garden at Elm Bank brought all their loved ones together for an evening of merriment and dancing. All the couple’s immediate family members made a toast, which gave even more meaning to the celebration as they shared their favorite stories about Suzie and Hunter.
The couple skipped the traditional sweetheart table, sharing an intimate meal with their families around a long, farm-style table. However, they embraced other traditions, including the first dance, parent dances, and cake-cutting. They also danced the Hora in acknowledgment of Hunter’s Jewish heritage! Clockwork Boston played live music, and the guests filled the dance floor from the beginning to the end of the night.
Our team is thrilled we could help Suzie and Hunter celebrate their wedding as their day-of planners. We loved seeing Suzie's smile all day—it was infectious!
