A French Country Style Wedding at Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Glen Manor House

This classic French Country-inspired wedding took place at Glen Manor in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

To me, Carolyn and Kenneth are one of the most classically beautiful couples that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.  They are sweet, gracious and thoughtful, and full of Southern charm.  Every element we planned for took their guests experience into consideration.  I loved that about them!

ABOUT THE WEDDING COUPLE

Carolyn and Kenneth started planning their wedding two years in advance.  When you’re both doctors, you need all the extra time you can get.  They did not want a cookie cutter venue and had their hearts set on a venue that was quaint, near the ocean and was classic like a manor.  We found the perfect spot, Glen Manor House in Rhode Island.

WEDDING DESIGNS AND DETAILS

This couple wanted to incorporate all the typical wedding traditions.  Even though the invitations said Black Tie Optional, the most important elements were creating a relaxing, fun atmosphere with lots of dancing.  Therefore, entertainment was really important.  A string trio played during the ceremony and cocktail hour, perfect for a French Country wedding at Glen Manor House.  An 8-piece band played during the reception.

When they told me during our first meeting that Kenneth plays the guitar and sings, I thought that was pretty cool.  When they told me he was going to perform with the band at their wedding, I thought that was even cooler.  It was better than cool!  He crushed it!  Their guests went crazy and the band members were blown away.   Carolyn and Kenneth had the wedding they envisioned, and everyone did dance, all night long.

After years of living in separate cities, I’m happy that they are both now working in Boston and at the same hospital. This wedding was perfectly captured by Zac Wolf Photography.
